Palo santo & Black obsidian

Our Palo Santo comes straight from Latin America (Peruvian Forests) and is obtained only thanks to the naturally fallen branches that are collected by the surrounding communities. This process is certified by the National Service of Forests and Wildlife of Peru (SERFOR). The Palo Santo trade is highly regulated in South America and it is illegal to cut down trees for consumer use.

We strongly recommend that you purify your environment every day as well as yourself as soon as you feel the need. Your stones can also be purified every 2 days for example depending on the frequency of use.

The communities that live around the forests where the Palo Santo trees grow in Piura, Peru are responsible for collecting Palo Santo wood. They never cut trees because it's illegal but also because there wouldn't be this special scent of this sacred wood. Palo Santo trees need to lay in the sun and dry out for a while to accumulate the smell they give off from their natural oils and resin. Communities describe their “harvest” as walking through the forest and cleaning it up – picking up dead branches and trees. New Palo Santo trees are being planted around the forest and communities are working hard to classify these areas as protected forest to prevent damage and logging. New trees are planted every year to ensure that the Palo Santo species stick around for a very long time.
